
Torgny Wickman
Biography
Torgny Wickman was a Swedish phographer and film director. At 24 in 1935 he founded the production company Ellwe-Film. Three years later, he made "Godag staty", a portrait of the artist Carl Milles and his huge garden at Lidingö in Stockholm. He also entered the Swedish film history as director of "Ur Kärlekens språk/Language of Love" (1969), a sex education film that attracted attention all over the world and gained a few spin-offs. Torgny Wickman produced 16 feature films and documentaries from 1954 to 1977. He claims to have been responsible for some 1 600 shorts.
